Branches and Departments
The College of Veterinary Medicine at Al-Qasim Green University contains the following branches:
Veterinary Anatomy
The branch’s instructors teach anatomy to first- and second-year students, and tissues and embryos to second-year students.
Physiology and Pharmacology
The instructors of this branch teach general chemistry to first-year students and biochemistry to second-year students. The instructors of physiology teach physiology to second-year students, while the instructors of medicine teach drugs and poisons to third-year students.
Micro Biology
The branch teaches the subject of germs, fungi, viruses, immunity, and parasites of various animals and the ways they transmit diseases to third-year students.
Pathology and Poultry Disease
The branch teaches pathology to third-year students, poultry diseases and special pathology to fourth-year students, fish science, forensic medicine, professional behavior, and veterinary application of poultry diseases to fifth-year students.
Preventive Internal Veterinary Medicine
This branch teaches the subjects of pathological diagnosis, internal medicine, infectious and common diseases, and veterinary application for fourth-year students, and veterinary application and internal medicine for fifth-year students.
Surgery and Theriogenology
This branch teaches surgery, fertility and reproductive diseases, and veterinary practice to fourth-year students, and surgery, obstetrics, and veterinary practice to fifth-year students.
Veterinary Public Health
This branch teaches Animal Management and Behavior to first-year students, and Genetics, Food Hygiene and Environmental Pollution to fifth-year students.
